Generally, Parrot has stopped producing drones for the general public consumer anymore. When you pull up their website you see the ANAFI AI and the ANAFI USA drones being marketed. You also see that Parrot identifies their company mission with building professional drones that focus on the needs for industries in: Inspection, first responders, firefighters, search and rescue teams, security agencies, and surveying professionals. However, with all that said, you can still find their fixed-wing agriculture focused drones and their accompanying accessories available for sale on most of the drone vendor sites. You still find Parrot drones listed on the current “Best of Agriculture Drones” lists.
Parrot ANAFI USA
The Parrot ANAFI USA drone has a double optical 4K EO camera. It has zoom in capabilities from wide angle to telephoto (32X). It can detect thermal data with high precision (within centimeters) from an altitude as high as 131ft. It is equipped with a FLIR Boson 320. The thermal camera has two thermal color modes, Relative mode and Spot mode (each mode uses complimentary colors), that make it adaptive to a variety of flight missions. It also has a Thermal Analyzer mode as well as the ability to show both the visible light (RGB) spectrum data results alongside the IR data results from the thermal camera. This drone’s security features include: It’s software is digitally signed, connection between the network and drone controller uses WPA2 WiFi protection, which is based on AES CCMP encryption (128 encryption key). It has SD card encryption and does not share the collected data with Parrot or 3rd party vendors.
Parrot Disco-Pro Ag Drone Fixed Wing
This drone is an all-in-one drone solution designed for precision agriculture. It can cover up to 80 hectares (200 acres) at a 120M (400 ft.) flight altitude. It can fly up to 30 minutes.
There are two cameras, a front camera used for visual inspection and the Parrot Sequoia multispectral sensor underneath that is used for crop mapping and creating NDVI maps. The sensor produces RGB imagery too. The images are high resolution photos (14 megapixels) and videos (108 P Full HD). Data can be processed with their cloud based mapping solution, AIRINOV First + (automatically processes AIRINOV Report and NDVI maps). The drone kit includes one year subscription to AIRINOV First + cloud service. The flight controller included with this drone is Parrot’s Skycontroller 2. It has a transmission range of up to 2km (1.24 miles). It uses the Pix4Dcapture navigation app. You must hand launch the drone for it to take flight. Then, it performs the flight and returns to home to automatically land when the flight mission is complete.
Parrot Bluegrass Fields Agricultural Quadcopter
It has two embedded cameras. In the front, you have a Full HD video camera and a RGB and multispectral sensor, Parrot Sequoia (See image of sensor below). There is also a sunshine sensor that collects and stores the current environmental light details for the surveyed area. It uses a cloud platform for processing data, ARINOV FIRST+ (1 year license for this included). The crop health analysis is displayed in a NDVI map. The Parrot Bluegrass can cover up to 30 hectares (74.133 acres) at 70 m/230ft flight altitude single battery charge. It can fly at low altitudes too, so that the mapping precision for determining the status of your crops is very accurate. Pix4Dcapture (1 month license for this included) mobile navigation app, can be used to create flight missions for the drone to fly. The drone will automatically fly over the desired area you have selected to survey and will fly home and land when the mission is completed. It may also be piloted manually as well. However, you must use the app, FreeFlight Pro to fly the drone manually.
