The 3P Sensor collects images needed to create NDVI crop mapping reports. It can calibrate the ambient light in order to distinguish between haze and clouds as well as gauge the time of day and the season. The features for the 3P sensor include:
- The 3P sensor records images in four bands of light. Its lens reduces warping and vignettes within the images.
- Smart filtering is used to reduce sources of electronic noise such as soil, reflections, or shadows, to prevent the image corruption.
- The 3P sensor uses SlantRange’s SlantView application but it is compatible with other agricultural analytic platforms as well. Further, the data collected can be accessed at the field without using an internet connection.
